Open Air When You Want It. Glass When You Don't.
Retractable frameless glass walls that turn a three-season Houston patio into a room you use every day of the year.
Your patio has about six good weeks a year.
You built it to live outside. Then the humidity rolls in, the afternoon storm shows up uninvited, the oak pollen coats every cushion, and the mosquitoes take over at dusk. The rest of the year, the patio is just something you look at through the kitchen window.

Floor-to-ceiling glass that disappears in seconds.
Lumon makes frameless, retractable glazing: tempered glass panels that glide along a slim track and stack neatly to one side. No vertical posts between panels, no fabric, no mesh. Closed, you get an uninterrupted glass wall that stops rain, wind, pollen, and bugs. Open, you get your patio back exactly as it was.
- Frameless panels, edge-to-edge glass, nothing between you and the yard
- Opens fully, partly, or not at all, panel by panel
- Panels pivot inward so you clean both sides without a ladder
- Fits existing patios, pergolas, pool houses, and outdoor kitchens
- Designed, measured, and installed locally by Evershade Outdoors
A patio that works in July, in March, and in a downpour.
Rain stays outside
Blowing rain, not just falling rain. Close the wall and the storm becomes something to watch.
Pollen and dust out
Cushions stay clean through oak season. Wipe the glass, not everything you own.
Mosquito-free evenings
A sealed glass perimeter, not a screen with a gap under the door.
More usable square feet
A covered patio becomes a dining room, office, playroom, or gym..
The view stays the view
No posts, no frames, no mesh haze. Frameless means exactly that.
Protects what's out there
Furniture, outdoor kitchens, TVs, and the house itself see less sun, water, and grime.
Safer for kids and pets
A contained space off the pool or yard, with full sightlines from inside the house.
Adds home value
Finished, weather-protected living space is the kind of upgrade appraisers and buyers both notice.

Lumon walls. StruXure roof. One touch, any weather.
Here is where Houston gets interesting. Pair Lumon glass walls with a StruXure motorized louvered pergola and you control the roof and the walls independently. Louvers open and walls open for a breezy spring evening. Louvers closed, walls open for shade with airflow in August. Everything closed when the radar turns red.
No other enclosure gives you a roof that moves and walls that move. Evershade designs and installs both, so there is one contractor, one timeline, and one call if you ever need anything.
Full open
Louvers up, panels stacked. It's a pergola again.
Shade + breeze
Roof closed for sun, walls open for Gulf air.
Sealed room
Everything closed. Rain, pollen, and bugs stay out.
Open patio vs. screens vs. Lumon glass walls
Screens solve bugs. Glass solves bugs, rain, wind, pollen, and dirt, and it still opens all the way.

Frequently asked questions
Is a Lumon glass wall the same as a sunroom?
No. A sunroom is a permanent, sealed addition. Lumon frameless glass walls are retractable panels that slide and stack to one side, so your patio can be fully open, partly open, or fully closed in seconds. The glazing is not thermally sealed like a conditioned room, but it keeps out rain, wind, pollen, and insects while preserving airflow and the view.
Will glass walls make my Houston patio hotter?
Not when they're used the way they're designed. On hot days the panels open completely and stack out of the way, so nothing is trapping heat. Most of our Houston installations pair Lumon walls with a StruXure motorized louvered roof, so you can close the roof for shade and leave the walls open for the breeze, or open both for full sun.
Can Lumon glass walls be added to an existing patio or pergola?
Yes. The system installs onto most existing covered patios, pergolas, pool houses, and outdoor kitchens with a suitable roof line. We measure the opening and design the panel layout during your free consultation.
Do the panels block the view?
Lumon glazing is frameless, meaning there are no vertical posts between panels. Closed, you see glass edge to edge. Open, the panels stack neatly at one side of the opening.
How do I clean and maintain glass walls?
The panels pivot inward for cleaning, so both sides can be wiped down from inside the patio without a ladder. There are no motors, screens, or fabric to service.
How long does installation take?
Panels are manufactured to your exact opening, so lead time depends on the design. Most installations are completed in one to two days once the panels arrive. We'll give you a timeline at your consultation.
